I just purchased the Honeycomb yoke and want to still use the Saitek throttle quadrant. With this bundle, the throttle quadrant connects to the yoke with a mini din (looks like a ps2) connector. I was thinking about of "directly" emitting the keyboard signals over GPIO - however I don't have any clue whether anyone has tried something like that up to now (and I never have done anything like that before). Years ago I purchased the Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant. I guess I can find a converter that transfers the PS/2 into the 5pin DIN connector, but I am still struggling with the Conversion from USB to PS/2.Īs far as I understood it I need an active converter that converts the USB (keyboard) signal emitted by the Raspberry Pi to PS/2 signal.ĭoes anybody know whether there is a converter that works with Raspberry Pi (without installing drivers) in the intended way or has anyone a different idea? This is the basic functionality which I want to have, however I do not need to emulate a USB Keyboard, but a PS/2 keyboard (and in particular not even that but a keyboard having the even older analogue connector, the 5 pin DIN connector.).

USB TO PS2 CONVERTER SIMULATOR HOW TO
I found some websites with instructions on how to emulate a keyboard with a raspberry pi zero.

Also I believe this is a very specific project/problem: Since quite some time I have now been researching this topic, without real success, that's why I thought I start a thread.
